DAY
01- TUES (6/22-Previously 6/21): DEPART USA
Tour members meet at the Newark Airport for our direct flight to
Tel Aviv on Continental Airlines. After dinner is served, sit back
and relax, enjoying the on-board entertainment as you prepare for
this exciting adventure of a lifetime - walking where Jesus walked.
DAY 02 - WED (6/23): ARRIVE TEL AVIV, JAFFA
In Tel Aviv we are met by our agent who assists us through customs and
security. We transfer to our motor coach for a short drive to our hotel
in Tel Aviv in time for our welcome dinner and overnight beside the beautiful
Mediterranean Sea.
DAY 03 - THUR (6/24): CAESAREA, MEGIDDO, MT. CARMEL
Today we depart for the Galilee, visiting the following Biblical sites:
Caesarea where Peter proclaimed the Good News to the Roman Centurion (Acts
10 & 25), Megiddo, Mt. Carmel where Elijah prayed and God defeated
450 prophets of Baal with fire from heaven (1 Kings 18). Time permitting,
we will visit Tzipori (Sepphoris), which served as the Roman capital of
Galilee through the reign of Herod.
Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
DAY 04 - FRI (6/25): GALILEE, NAZARETH
VILLAGE, MT. OF BEATITUDES, CAPERNAUM, BOAT RIDE, JORDAN RIVER
There is nothing like watching a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee from our
hotel. We begin our sightseeing with a drive to Nazareth to visit the
"Nazareth Village" with detailed explanation of what life was
like during the time of Jesus. Afterwards we make our way to the Mt. of
Beatitudes (Matthew 5-7), with time for reflection and worship. We then
make our way to Capernaum (Jesus' base for His early ministry) and Bethsaida
(Mark 6:45; 8:22) Special visit to the "Jesus Boat," that dates
back to the time of Christ, and a boat ride on the sea itself.
Our lunch stop includes the option of the special St. Peter's Fish for
those interested (not included).
Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
DAY 05 - SAT (6/26): UPPER JORDAN, GOLAN
HEIGHTS, CAESAREA PHILIPPI, TEL DAN, BEIT SHEAN, JERUSALEM
Today we will visit or view many biblical sites along the shore of the
Sea of Galilee and in the Upper Jordan Valley: e.g. Magdala (Matt. 15:39;
Luke 8:2); Mt. Hermon (Deut. 3:8), Border of Lebanon (Josh. 11:17), and
Hazor (Josh. 11:10; 1 Kgs. 9:15). We then travel to the Golan Heights
and view the area from a special lookout. We drive to Caesarea Philippi,
where Peter made the good confession of Christ as ¡°the Messiah,
the Son of the living God." (Matthew 16:13-16.) We will have a short
hike/walk to Tel Dan where we will see the gate of Jeroboam and Gideon
Springs. Afterwards, a visit to Beit Shean, one of the best preserved
Decapolis Roman cities. In Beit Shean, the bodies of King Saul and his
sons were hung from the city walls (1 Samuel 31:10-12) after they were
defeated by the Philistines. We then ascend to the majestic city of Jeru-salem
in time for dinner and overnight. "I was glad when they said to me,
.Let us go to the house of the Lord.. Our feet are standing within your
gates, O Jerusalem."(Psalm 122:1-2 NASB)
DAY 06 - SUN (6/27): MT. OF OLIVES, PALM
SUNDAY ROAD, GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE, WEST-ERN WALL, ISRAEL MUSEUM
AND SHRINE OF THE BOOK
We begin the day on the beautiful Mt. of Olives to behold the breathtaking
panorama of the Holy City. Our pilgrimage will proceed down the Old Palm
Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive grove,
and the Church of Agony, where tradition holds that Jesus prayed. A visit
to the Pater Noster church is planned where 62 tiled panels give the Lord.s
Prayer in 62 different languages.
We will enter Jerusalem through the Zion Gate, and walk to the holiest
site in the whole Jewish world, the Western (Wailing) Wall of Herod's
temple. Here we will have ample time to pray and meditate and reflect
on God's plans for this city and the temple mount itself.
From the temple area, we make our way to St. Stephen's Gate, to walk a
portion of the Via Dolorosa . including St. Anne's Crusader Church where
we will sing a few hymns and marvel at the unusual acoustics, then proceed
to the Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus miraculously cured a lame man. (John
5). We will include a visit to the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the
Book.We will have dinner
and over-night in Jerusalem.
DAY 07- MON (6/28): EIN GEDI, QUMRAN, MASADA,
DEAD SEA.SWIM/FLOAT, BEDOUIN EXPERIENCE
After breakfast, we drive to Ein Gedi where David hid from King Saul.
From here we make our way to Qumran and the settlement of the first century
sect known as the Essenes, authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Following
the road south along the western shore of the Dead Sea, we visit Masada,
ascending the wilderness mountain by way of cable car to the fortress
built by King Herod. Here we survey the ruins of fortifications, waterworks,
synagogue, temples and palaces. We will make a special stop at the Dead
Sea (the lowest spot on earth) for a short swim. Time and conditions permitting,
we'll include a short visit to Jericho. The road from the Dead Sea area
to Jerusalem is an ascent of 4,000 feet in 13 miles. On our way back we
will stop for a "Bedouin Experience"with a short camel ride
and coffee/tea at Abraham's tent. Dinner and over-night in Jerusalem.
DAY 08 - TUES (6/29): TEMPLE STEPS, JEWISH
QUARTER, CITY OF DAVID, HEZEKIAH'S SHAFT, GARDEN TOMB
We will start our day by making our way to the Temple steps where Peter
preached on Pentecost. After touring the Jewish Quarter and the Cardo
we will visit the Temple Institute, a museum which houses reproductions
of the implements used in the service of the Temple and of the priestly
vestments. We will then have a short walk to the recently excavated City
of David for a detailed explanation of this incredible site. Afterwards
we walk through nearby Ophel Archeological Park and then visit the shaft
to Hezekiah's tunnel. We will end the day with a special visit to the
Garden Tomb, a site that many believe is the actual site of the crucifixion
and burial of Jesus. Dinner and over-night in Jerusalem.
DAY 09 - WED (6/30): JERUSALEM
Today is without a planned schedule. It.s a special opportunity to collect
your thoughts, and revisit the places of most interest to you. We will
suggest several options including the Rockefeller and Hebrew Museums displaying
a wealth of archeological treasure. One can return for a last look within
the walls and visit the Old City for souvenirs, where bargaining is a
must. Farewell Dinner and over-night in Jerusalem.
DAY 10 - THURS (7/1): DEPART TEL AVIV FOR
U.S.A.
After an early morning breakfast our Israel-only passengers transfer to
Ben Gurion Airport for our return flight to the USA.

DAY 09 - WED (6/30): JERUSALEM, EILAT &
CAIRO
Depart Jerusalem and continue to Eilat for Egypt. The Gulf of Eilat, which
is part of the Red Sea, is the northernmost, and hence the coldest tropical
sea in the world. Considered one of the most beautiful seas, its water
supports an un-equaled variety of aquatic fauna, coral and fish. Depart
Eilat, and continue to the Taba border for our drive across the Sinai
for Cairo. We arrive in time for dinner and over-night at our hotel.
DAY 10 - THURS (7/1): CAIRO, EGYPTIAN MUSEUM,
PYRAMIDS & THE SPHINX
Your sightseeing tour will begin with a visit to the world famous Egyptian
Museum. There will be time for a brief visit to the area that contains
the treasures of King Tutank-hamen. Next you will visit the Great Pyramids
of Giza, and see the Sphinx. Our sightseeing will include the Citadel,
Mohammed Ali-Mosque, called the Alabaster Mosque, offering a beautiful
view of Cairo and the Nile River, the his-torical dwellings and mosques.
Dinner and overnight in Cairo.
DAY 11- FRI (7/2): CAIRO, MEMPHIS &
SAKKARA
Today.s sightseeing tour will include the Alabaster Sphinx, and the statue
of Ramses II. We then proceed to the Necropolis of Sakkara containing
the funerary monuments from various periods of Egyptian history. We will
view the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, and several mastabas (tombs of nobles).
Included are the tombs of Ti and Ptah, some of the most notable excavations
of Egypt. Dinner and overnight in Cairo.
DAY 12 - SAT (7/3): CAIRO, USA
This morning we transfer to Cairo International airport for our flight
home. The close of an unforgettable tour, we now treasure memories of
the Old and New Testament, ancient history and, a renewal of our faith.
We'll have a greater perspective on the power of God and the ministry
of our Lord.
